Built in 1891, City Hall contains some of the local city government offices, council chambers and houses the Jefferson County Historical Society Museum. City Hall is currently being upgraded so that it can return to use and should be complete in early 2006.

The Museum is temporarily located in the Waterman Katz Building on the 2nd floor. It has a large collection of Victorian era memorabilia, historical exhibits, and many photographs from Port Townsend's beginning. Walking tours are offered.
