The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding has been teaching and preserving the fine art of wooden boatbuilding and traditional maritime skills since 1981. Students come from around the world to study with the boat school's master craftsman. Graduates of the school's twelve-month boatbuilding program earn an Associate Degree of Occupational Studies. Sailmaking, Boat Design, Carving, Skiff Building & Welding classes are held quarterly. Choice hand crafted vessels of all types are available for sale; or commission the Wooden Boat of your dreams. The public is invited to observe the Boat School in action via self-guided tours of the Heritage Campus located on the historic Port Hadlock waterfront, Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.
