MAKE WAVES! is a non-profit citizen run organization formed in February of 2007 to address the urgent question of how our community can most effectively resolve the deteriorating and unsustainable condition of the only public pool in East Jefferson County. The group's mission is ''To develop a multipurpose aquatic, recreation, and fitness center that is affordable, financially sustainable, politically supportable, and serves the needs of all the members of our community for generations to come.'' MAKE WAVES! is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization that welcomes anyone who wants to help make an aquatic recreation center a community resource.
