The 6th annual Port Townsend Woodworkers Show will take place on the weekend of November 5/6, 2011, at the American Legion Hall in Port Townsend at the corner of Water and Monroe Street. Show hours are from 11am-8pm on Saturday (including Gallery Walk) and 11am-3pm on Sunday. Admission is free to the public. The purpose of the show is to showcase the talented and creative woodworkers who live and work in Port Townsend and the surrounding areas, offering them an opportunity to present their work in a relaxed and informal setting. Exhibitors include furniture and cabinetmakers, luthiers and instrument makers, carvers, sculptors and turners. Both the Port Townsend School of Woodworking and Chimacum High School’s woodworking program will also be represented. Last year’s show was a resounding success, with an estimated audience of more than 1800 touring the exhibits over the course of the weekend. Approximately 30 exhibitors will be showing their work this year, including new and returning artists. For more information about the show, go to www.splintergroup.org, or call 360-379-0414.
