Travel to San Juan Islands on Puget Sound Express - Passenger ferry service from Port Townsend to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. Departs from Point Hudson Marina. From Friday Harbor you can connect on WA State Ferries to the other islands.

Seattle to Bainbridge Ferry - Terminal 1 to 1.25 hours south.
Kingston to Edmonds Ferry - Terminal 45 min. east.
To get from Victoria, B.C. to Port Angeles to Port Townsend using the public bus and Blackball Coho or Victoria Express ferries you'll have to use a combination of the following:
1. Clallam County Transit Route #30 from the Port Angeles Transfer Station (about a block from the ferry) to Sequim Transit Center at 2nd & Cedar. (Travel time: about 35 minutes). Phone: (360) 452-4511 or (800) 858-3747.
2. Then use Jefferson Transit Route #8 from 2nd & Cedar in Sequim to the Port Townsend Park & Ride. (Travel time: about 45 minutes). Phone: (360) 385-4777 or Toll Free: (800) 371-0497.
3. From there you can get a the Jefferson Transit #11 bus to uptown/downtown or the #12 bus to Fort Worden. Phone: (360) 385-4777 or Toll Free: (800) 371-0497.
Victoria Express - Port Angeles to Victoria, B.C. passenger ferry from Victoria B.C (50 miles west of PT). Crossing time: 55 min. Ferry operation resumes on Jan 28. Call 360-452-8088.
Black Ball Transport - Coho Ferry to Victoria, B.C. automobile & passenger ferry from Port Angeles (50 miles west of PT). Crossing time: 1.5 hrs. 360-457-4491.
NOTE: If you are planning to make a daytrip to Victoria you need to check ID requirements to enter Canada.
