This is a spectacular time of growth and development as we celebrate ten years of theater classes in Port Townsend.
The Chairs Improv Troupe, now in its seventh year, continued monthly performances this spring. The newest troupe, The Chairlings, made their debut during the 24-Hour Improvathon in May. Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, which ran three weeks in March, was hailed as a "Major triumph" by the Jefferson County Leader, and this summer the original play, Cowboy Love Song After Watching a Western, was created and premiered here at The Chameleon.
Students and alumni from the Port Townsend Children's Theater appeared in musicals and plays throughout the community including leading roles in The Comedy of Errors, Birnham Woods, Working, and The 13th Annual Playwrights' Festival at Key City Public Theatre; The Diary of Anne Frank, Hamlet, and Chicago at the Port Townsend High School; Grease at Blue Heron Middle School; and Shining City at The Paradise Theatre School.
As we dive into another inspiring year, we are excited to offer a more diverse and in-depth curriculum. Please have a look at the class schedule and descriptions, and then send in your registration form. All classes are limited in size to ensure maximum learning and fun.
See you in the theater,
