Despite the chaos of the times, the soul longs for a life fully lived, a Mythic Life that includes accepting the limits of one's fate as well as finding the threads of one's destiny. For, the human soul is mythic by nature, each soul imbued and burdened with an inner story that tries to live its way into the world. As most collective forms of unity collapse the “uniqueness” within individuals becomes the source of unifying imagination and meaningful change. The soul story involves spells and blessings, gifts and wounds, and the exact medicines needed for healing the volatile divisions so characteristic of modern life. Growing a Mythic Life involves two movements: awakening to the mythic project of the deep self and finding meaningful work in the world. For, a meaningful path in life can only be sustained when connected to one's inner rhythm and psychic flow. If a person cannot find the vitality of their own being they become unable to affect the outer conditions of community and culture. Only shaping a mythic sense of self can renew purpose and meaning in individual life while finding ways to serve the Soul of the World.
