The Salal Cafe has been the place for breakfast in Port Townsend since its beginning, over two decades ago. The popularity of this multi-award winning restaurant is due to the consistently good food served there. The large menu features a wide selection including a variety of omelets and other egg dishes, biscuits and gravy, crepes, blintzes, tofu-veggie stir fry, potato sautees, and a homemade blueberry oat muffin. After 11:30, lunch items are also offered. Beer and wine are available, including champagne and mimosas for brunch. Just outside the glass-covered solarium, which provides a garden view year-round, a flower-filled back deck overlooks the Franklin Court garden and provides additional seating in the summer.
